The idea
The Times Higher Education World University Rankings score universities on teaching, research, citations, industry income and international outlook. This report makes ten years of those rankings explorable: how a university has moved over time, how institutions compare, and which metrics drive the result.
The data
Published rankings from 2016 to 2025, including scores across the ranking criteria and details for each university. Participation grew from 800 universities in 2016 to 2,092 in 2025.
